Natalie and Nathan have been together for what seems like an eternity and are finally getting prepared to tie the knot. Natalie’s aunt was kind enough to allow us to use her beautiful house and its grounds located in Barriefield Village.
You could definitely say this was a boat-themed day. First a ferry ride over to Wolfe Island for preparation and ceremony, as Katherine’s American family has had a property there for decades. Then back across to the mainland to the Island Queen for dinner and reception. We’re really glad we pulled the bride and groom away for those few minutes at sunset!
What do pickles, Pumas, and postcards have in common? (No, this is not a lame joke.) Or, what do shamrocks, bell jars, and peacocks have in common? These are the fabulous details of a few of the weddings we have photographed in 2013. Steven and I do our best to make sure we notice and account for these. We believe it is important to document accessories, apparel and decor; the last minute speech-writing, tie-tying, limo-riding images. From significant tangibles to the little moments in-between the obvious ones, these details to matter to you and they matter to us; and we celebrate how a bride and groom incorporate their personality, style, quirks, heritage and hobbies into their wedding day.
